Accumulation anormale de liquide dans un tissu en particulier dans le tissu sous-cutané, provoquant alors un gonflement. Le signe du godet est un signe pathognomonique de l'oedème.
Abnormal accumulation of fluid in a particular tissue of the subcutaneous tissue, causing a swelling. A pathognomonic sign of oedema is to apply pressure with a finger on the affected tissue or mucosa and to observe that the imprint remains a few seconds before disappearing when removing said finger.
