Maladie infectieuse, inoculable par les tiques ou transmissible par contact direct, due à une rickettsie, Coxiella burnetii. Elle atteint beaucoup d'animaux domestiques (ovins, caprins, bovins chiens, chats, oiseaux) et sauvages et l'homme (zoonose). Cosmopolite, sauf en Nouvelle-Zélande, elle a été découverte dans le Queensland, en Australie.
Infectious health issue, transmitted by ticks or by direct contact, caused by a rickettsia, Coxiella burnetii. It affects many domestic animals (sheep, goats, cattle dogs, cats, birds), wild animals, and humans (zoonosis). Cosmopolitan, except in New Zealand, it was discovered in Queensland, Australia.
