Maladie infectieuse contagieuse du porc due à Streptococcus suis et qui affecte surtout les porcelets sevrés et les porcs à l’engraissement. La pathologie peut revêtir plusieurs aspects selon la virulence de la souche et l’organe atteint : hyperthermie, septicémie, méningite, pneumonie, endocardite ou atteinte articulaire.
Infectious contagious disease of swine caused by Streptococcus suis and which mainly affects weaned piglets and pigs for fattening. The pathology may have several aspects depending on the virulence of the strain and the affected organ: hyperthermia, sepsis, meningitis, pneumonia, endocarditis or joint damage.
