In mammals, release of an organ or part of an organ (often bowls) by the inguinal ring to the scrotum. This condition is usually benign, except in case of ischemia of herniated organs that may necrotize.

Chez les mammifères, sortie d'un organe ou d'une partie d'organe (souvent intestins) par l'anneau inguinal jusqu'au scrotum. Cette affection est généralement bégnine, saus en cas d'ischémie des organes herniés qui peuvent nécroser.
