Parasitic disease due to incysted larvae of Trichinella spiralis. It potentially affects all mammals, especially omnivores (swine and wild suidae) and carnivores. It is often subclinical in animals, and humans can contaminate themselves by eating undercooked trichinate pork.

Maladie parasitaire due aux larves enkystées de Trichinella spiralis. Elle atteint potentiellement tous les mammifères, surtout les omnivores (le porc et les suidés sauvages) et les carnivores. Elle est souvent subclinique chez l'animal, et l'homme peut se contaminer par consommation de viande de porc trichinée mal cuite.
