Human skin malignant melanoma cells that can be ordered from ATCC. This is a hyperdiploid human cell line with the modal chromosome number of 49, occurring in 24% of cells. Polyploid cells occurred at 22%, which is high. Cells are adherent, and were first harvested in 1971 from a metastatic site in a lymph node.
