Quantification of the seasonal changes in mood and behaviour, usually evaluated through a questionnaire such as the "Seasonal Pattern Assessment Questionnaire" (SPAQ). The resulting score is used as an indictaor to determine the potential presence of seasonal affective disorder SAD.
