E1B Protein
Human E1B protein (175 aa, 20 kDa) protein is encoded by the human adenovirus 2 (HadV-2) gene. This protein is transcribed by the E1B region of the HadV-2 gene, which is involved in the regulation of E1B protein levels. This protein is an inhibitor of apoptosis induced by TNF or FAS pathways, as well as p53-mediated apoptosis. Without E1B function, virus production is compromised due to the premature death of the host cell. [ ]
