NF-AT
NFAT is a multi-subunit transcription complex that includes homo- or hetero-dimers of FOS and JUN proteins. NFATC, the Dorsal/Rel family cytosolic component of NFAT, is translocated to the nucleus following TCR-induced PKC stimulation and calmodulin-dependent calcineurin-mediated dephosphorylation. Phosphoprotein NFATP, the 'preexisting component' of NFAT present in the unstimulated T-cell cytosol, locates in the nucleus as part of NFAT after activation. [ ]
