DesignNote

Encoded by human BCAR3 Gene, the 92.6 kD 825-amino acid BCAR3 Protein contains a putative SH2 domain, a hallmark of tyrosine kinase signaling molecules, and sequences homologous to CDC48 (Yeast). Abundant expression is seen in heart, placenta, skeletal muscle, spleen, prostate, testis, ovary, small intestine, colon, fetal kidney, and several cancer cell lines, but not in nonmalignant breast tissue. NSP2 induces anti-estrogen resistance in estrogen-dependent breast tumors. (SWISS-PROT, OMIM)
