Tumor protein D53 exhibits 52% identity to D52, a coiled-coil domain, and PEST domains. D52, D53, and D54 share significant homology, including a coiled-coil domain indicative of protein-protein interactions. TPD52L1 forms homodimers, or heterodimers with other family members. Like D52, TPD52L1 may be involved in calcium-mediated signal transduction and cell proliferation.
